Branding, E-commerce and Marketing – Mozimpor
Mozimpor is the official representative of major brands such as Samsung in Mozambique. Despite its strong presence and the representation of major brands, the Mozimpor brand was often confused with the brand it represents and did not have a visual identity or defined strategy.
Based on the old logos, we tried to standardize the brand with the creation of a new logo with some variations to adapt to every circumstance.
We created a design system where is possible to create all the visual assets from a template with defined rules. The communication strategy tries to reinforce the idea of the official source in a market that can be characterized by the informal economy. Plus that, we try to pass the message that people can find everything on the Mozimpor . The result was a slogan in Portuguese that means “We are big brands” with some iterations that adapt to every context like “we are smartphones”, “we are televisions”, “we are warranty”, etc.
After some research, we find that in Mozambique we don’t have a lot of options to buy or search for a product online. We create a website (online store) powered by Shopify, that will be a reference for everyone that want to buy online, with special attention for all descriptions, more than that, people start to associate the brand as the official place to buy some brands.
The digital marketing strategy went through the main social networks, communicating in a simple way that would match the communication of the brands that Mozimpor, thus reinforcing the official side of the brand.
